French Exchange Students

French Exchange students visited De La Salle art department on Monday. They created continual drawings and collages using the 'Sad Nest' that is displayed in Mrs Millea's classroom. I took some photographs of the students working and the images can be seen below.

Ceramics

Whilst working at De La Salle I been experimenting with clay, I created test tiles and these have been fired and worked into using paints and varnish.

Experimenting using various techniques; pushing clay through sieve, creating holes in clay.

Yellow and green colour schemes are most successful.

I created spheres using clay, chopped these in half and stuck them onto the tile using slip.
I pushed a paintbrush into the surface to create an indentation.

I used a modelling tool to create texture and made holes using a paintbrush.

I used a needle to create a textured surface.

I created a textured surface by pushing clay through a sieve and attached this to the tile using slip.
